If you are all so concerned that Nintendo is going to get back to Bushing(I have my doubts, considering the way they respond to most people), then why don't you help circumvent it before it's patched?

Well, if the code that nitrotux posted is for gamecube only mode, as some people have stated in this and the now closed thread, couldn't we start with that? Even just having a gamecube soft mod would be pretty awesome...

If this security flaw is patched, there also won't be any burned DVD access for homebrew, which is nice in emulators, etc.

couldnt it be possible to crash the DVD's Ram by overflowing it, and then once its crashed inject coding into it through a file on an sd card.. then make a patcher that once installed it loads the patch before the system menu and fills up the dvd ram full of 0's to prevent the dvd's security authetication to kick in.

If he or anyone else wants to believe bushing is somehow obliged to release it because he followed a policy set out for contacting a company, more fool them all the same.
For one thing, you don't know it was even bushing who found the potential issue. Just because he's a public figure in this scene and speaks for the group a lot doesn't actually mean it's his call anyway. Much as with the source for the HBC or a dozen other things. Hence "team".

Emphasis mine and as F0ur2o stated. Now, I know hes not required to disclose anything, and certainly not obligated to either. But you are NOT bushing, your words mean NOTHING, and above all else, your integrity is called into question, not just by knowledge level, but by your unprofessional, rude demeanor as well.

As far as I can tell, bushing has stated no where that he is NOT disclosing the issue. According to the site he himself linked to, it gave a pretty straight-forward explanation of what the policy recommends. In fact, he himself said:

I'm not going to flame you, or cut anyone slack because they are a kid. The last thread teq started in hopes of technical discussion turned into a flame war. And more often than not they are expressing their opinion about someone's post and not the topic at hand. I can deal with the wild speculation and the "can we overflow the dvd and inject 0s and 1s till it crashes then inject code through the SD", but people like F0ur2o need to be flat out banned.

Again, the mods are doing next to nothing. If they don't want to lock the thread fine but ban the trouble makers.

And just because this site is "more popular than ever" doesn't mean it's good.

Just for the record, when the other thread was locked that didn't mean migrate the war onto the other one, that was all your decision. And on the constant "Mods don't do anything." comment I keep hearing, times like last night there were none really on. I mean you guys were going at it in the early morning, who in the right mind would?

GBATemp usually doesn't get this bad, and when it does it's a damn shame. It gives a bad image that this type of this happens, which luckly isn't often. This is why I stay out of the really technical convos.

As for this thread, it's going to straighten out or warnings will start rising and it's going to be locked. Cool it down, guys.
