Exactly, i mena, look how long it took us to fix 3.3 with truchia and twiight hack! it was less than a week for both i think

Yeah great.

Let Nintendo die out like Sega.

Dreamcast is the new Nintendo Wii,or will be in this matter.

I hope this doesn't get revealed.

Week?

You're joking, right? Bushing solved it after 6 hours. Release was later, but patch was cracked in 6 hours.

Now, when I'm thinking about it, better for us would be to not reveal this flaw. Every update can block things we have there, so I'm sure if N will release a patch for this flaw, it'll stop something more - but I guess it can be not homebrew this time (look: bushing) but something worse.

im gona keep saying this, screw the iso loader, UNLOCK THE REGION on the wii, PLEASE!!!!!!! its killing me having to play my gamecube for my import games. stupid freeloading

O yeah? So why bushing is e-mailing Nintendo? To congratulate them their E3?

This will make other people, who really don't care about piracy, think about making custom discloaders and hacking so that the Wii accepts burned discs.

I say, in less than a week we'll see this happening.

I, for one, hope it doesn't get this far.

With the upmost respect to bushing, all of the current piracy methods (modchips, wads, ect) are either a direct or indirect result of him and team tweezers efforts and the release of their findings. Regardless of what he admits to publically, he must be ok with (and maybe even encourage?) piracy or else he would be so morally objective to it that he'd quit releasing info for fear of making things worse.

The purpose of his post was to cover his own ass and to give himself some sort of moral justification when (note I didn't say "if") he releases the findings that show how to load discs. It was a round-about way of saying: "If you don't contact me in 5 days I"m going to tell everybody about this." Now expecting a big company like nintendo to respond to an email from an average joe in less than a week is like expecting to get through the DMV in 5 minutes... it ain't gonna happen. So I can conclude that he has every intention to release the info either publically or indirectly to other hackers that will use the data for a disc loader.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I just mean to say that you guys should kick that pedastal out from under the guy and realize that he doesn't have any real moral highground over any of the other people working in the scene. He's bushing, he knows his stuff, so there is no question that he HAS found an exploit, so let's quit that argument right there. The exploit will get out as well, the question isn't if, it's when.

Expect to be able to play backups by August.

I'm not even going to waste more words than needed here. You're wrong.

Keep dreaming if you want to interpret a VERY clear post intended for Nintendo to mean something it doesn't. I'm telling you from an informed point of view it won't be made public by him.

We will not explain what is going on, we will not write a DVDR loader, and we will not give more details. Any PM or email or whatever we get will go straight to the trash and the sender blocked. You have been warned.

well if its already been figured out, we can figure it out again.

like did you know that if you stack smash twilight princess and then do stuff you cal load .elf files?

Well a few people can do it, for sure

QUOTEWe Are Not Impressed

And

Jay, paradox

But will they? I hope not.

there is a modest chance that bushing will release this information, but only if/when Nintendo fixes the problem. of course, he may choose not to release it in any case. i am quite certain it will remain secret as long as it's a viable means to forward piracy on the Wii.

I hope so. Wii is perhaps the most heavily region locked console in ages.

Even Turbografx would read Japanese CD games, despite the controller ports and Hucards not being compatible normally.
