Hey everyone I'm building a project called OngakuVita, a native Spotify Connect client.

The goal is to let a Vita act as a proper Spotify Connect device: select it from Spotify on your phone or PC, then have the Vita authenticate and stream playback directly from Spotify. No PC bridge, companion server, or local-file transfer step.

I'll be absolutely honest: I'm a high school student in an IT-focused program, still learning to code, and I'm building this mainly with AI assistance under a strict task-by-task process, however nothing gets marked "done" without being verified on real Vita hardware first, not just in a mock test. It started as a personal fix for playing music on my Vita and turned into a fun side project I thought could bring some value to the Vita homebrew community.

It's still in early development and not ready for public use. So far, Vita audio output, storage, and networking/TLS have passed hardware tests, and the Spotify backend has been selected. Login, pairing, playback, and UI are still upcoming milestones.

I'd genuinely welcome feedback, tips, or help from anyone with more experience than me especially once real account/auth work starts.

I'll share updates when there's a usable build!
