A potentially exciting development in Wii hacking/development, regardless of if it gets released or not, and all you know how to do is act like a bunch of children.

Can someone sum things up for me, i dont understand whats so exciting.
There is a guy named bushing who might have found a security hole in the wii, which might could be used to run backups on an unmoded wii, which he never would release because he is antipiracy or say he is against piracy which could be used by everyone and their moms.
so he posts an email which he has sent to nintendo in which he states that he understands the architectur of the consol and want's to talk with an engineer.
i think ninty would never reply to this email, and if so we would never get notice of it.
umm you know bushing is the 1st(of a few in a team) to crack the wii and enable homebrew in the 1st place. nintendo know who bushing is, and if they want to keep there system cool they should reply to him ASAP, he could turn around and say fine dont reply to me, here everyone backup loader. then nintendo will be like dam we should of emailed him, i bet nintendo use the homebrew channel for some stuff, come one some of the homebrew is pretty cool

well, i think he will debate about the situation with nintendo, something like "hey ninty, i have found a way to run backups on unmodded wiis. enable trucha again and don't try to stop our work at homebrew or i will release this shit." well, thats the way i would say it

This doesnt acctually come as a suprise to me, as in a recent interview didnt one of the team (i think it was him) say that they were currently making customIOS?

Obviously if youre going along this path youre bound t9o find something. also, i think nintendo getting ahold of this will be GOOD

yes, good. because then, bushing will release whatever this is, juust to prove that he had done it, and with that, we could reverse engineer. Frankly, i think we need someone to submit a nice tip tokotaku, and spread this out as far and wide as we can, so nintendo will see.

Or it could backfire and we all die.

i don't think that this is the way to communicate with an global player like nintendo, might i'm wrong

thats he only wa to communicate with anyone. Blow stuff up, all over the web, get it as far and as wide as possible. and i cant say my other siggestion because i follow rules 1 and 2.

Oh they'll try to fix it... but thanks to patchmii, which I might add bushing himself made, we can now roll are own ios updates and remove offending ones, so it would be quite difficult for nintendo to do a unbreakable patch. Of course it wouldn't be impossible, but nintendo's slow as dirt response time coupled with their hap-hazard "fixes" tends to make me think if they make a fix it could be a long way off and probably not a very good one.
Exactly my thoughts.

And what you've written about when Nintendo reads about this stuff seems like it could be true. But after all the hacking Bushing's done, wouldn't they be clever enough to keep a tab on his site? I guess we won't ever know.

Allo, Nintendo! I need three Wii remote cond...err...jackets!!! Could ya' finally send them?

They care more than you think. Sony cares. MS cares. The big guys care, the little guys care.

Maybe they do not come to this forum specifically (and I can't blame them), but they do watch what goes on in the "scene" more than you all think

I think nintendo may ve been on here once or twice..
However, we do follow every law, so thay cant do anything about it.

So shall we spread the news out far and wide in hopes of reaching nintendo and doing what i explained in my other post?

Or shall we sit happily waiting for bushing to do nothing.

this is probably the stupidest idea ever, :what if: somebody made a make email like [email protected] ,some crap like that email pretending to be a Nintendo technician and got the exploit from him. then somebody can work on from that. just a thought.
