PS1/2 Broken PS2...Free McBoot is the solution?

So, i have the opportunity of buying a 3004 PS2 with a broken spindle motor and maybe a broken laser too at a very, and i mean very, low price...

However, i would like to know if, even with the broken spindle motor and broken laser i will be able to play games using the Free McBoot and the Open PS2 Loader......

Should be fine. You can either play over usb (slow) or get a network adapter and play from hdd or network.

i recommend more playing games with the network loader (open ps2 loader) or from an hdd if you have the network adapter since i already tried usb with a fat ps2 and a slim one and it was so slow fmv's were stuttering
