Hardware Brighter screen SP PINK!!

I haven't been able to find a near mint used AGS-101 SP.

I got one off eBay guy said it was perfect.. was far from it! had a small scratch on the screen, case/shell is pretty worn and theres "dirt" above the A/B buttons that wont come off no mater what (gonna try Magic Eraser lol).

Anyways I found like 10 brand new ones at the Walmart here... BUT.. They are all Pink

Should i buy one? lol

I guess i could buy a new case/shell for this one. I'm just afraid of getting lots of dust in the screen or having it not fit right. Anyone have any experience installing these?

EDIT: If anyone wants to help and sees non pink ones in your town let me know. I can send moneys lol.

Couple new ones on eBay.ca .. Really expensive though. Might just have to buck up

I'd say get it. If you're gonna replace the shell, I suggest going to a shop and asking them to do it for you. Sure, it'll cost a little more for the service, but it will be in safe hands.

If i replace the shell i just do it one this used one i have. I don't know of any shops in town that would do this.

I'm pretty good with this sort of stuff.. taken apart and modded tons of consoles (PS1/PS2/PSTwo/GC/XBOX). just nothing this small. I'm really only worried about the LCD getting dust in it or not lining up perfect.

This Gameboy only cost me $52CAD after shipping and i can get a shell pretty cheap. Just nothing online to look at about them *shrugs*

I've never done something like this before, but allow me to throw in a suggestion when you're gonna take it apart.

Buy those tight-fit rubber gloves. They're extremely handy, especially when you can touch the LCD and whatever safely without fear of smudging and screwing the screen up. These can be bought for cheap at any convenience stores.

If the Mr Clean Magic Eraser take the "dirt" off ill just keep it. The 1 scratch on the screen is maybe 1mm, but its just deep enough to see while playing (if you look).

I am really anal about this kinda stuff and normally buy new.. but ... PINK? lol
