In about 2011 or 2012, my Wii got bricked. I installed homebrew and had the homebrew installed for less than a week until we reverted it back. I've just recently tried to fix it with no luck. I hope it's possible to fix my Wii and keep all the saves and games I downloaded. Thanks!

Hello.:)

Please can you give us a little information about your Wii ?

- Can you start your Wii ?
- Can you get into Homebrew Channel ?
- Can you get into Wii System Menu ?

Maybe then we surely can help you.

Thank you.:)

Yes, I can start my Wii.
I uninstalled homebrew. I only had it to play modded smash bros, I reverted it back because I didn't want to mess with it and possibly getting it bricked (which it still did for some reason.)
No, I can't get into my system menu.

Hello.:)

Thank you for your feedback and the Information about your Wii.

- Did you have Priiloader installed ? Please test it with POWER on your Wii while pressing holding also RESET.

:( Sorry.

That would be very,very sad.

Did you get the HEALTH SCREEN ?
Did you have an original (one of the latest published) Wii Game and Gamecube Ports on your Wii and an Gamecube Controller ? (please :().

Test to see if u have bootmii installed as boot2. Do this by downloading and saving the bootmii folder to your sd card, then insert the SD card into your wii, then turn it on. If bootmii is installed as boot2 it will load, if it's not, you're probably screwed and should just buy a new/used wii.

Your can download the bootmii folder from here

Thanks for all the responses! Yes, I get the health screen and an original one from 2006 that has the ports. Also, will downloading that delete saves? I'm guessing not but I wanna make sure.

I just looked at their website, my country's website doesn't work and they aren't available on Amazon.

I wanna back away from the mod chips so I don't risk breaking anything. I've seen NAND formats, but I think that clears everything.

Or... You know.... You could try what I suggested first... You know the suggestion that doesn't involve buying anything

For real, the wii is old enough to definitely be able to have bootmii installed as boot2. There's a good chance it was installed since it was modded once upon a time, and a decent chance it might still be there.

Edit: your saves will be fine. But even if they weren't what good are your saves it they're stuck on a bricked console?

I don't remember exactly how I homebrewed, sorry. I clicked A on the health screen and nothing happened with the SD card.
EDIT: I downloaded it with the folder, not just the files. It's blinking blue on the disc drive, black on the screen. Is this good?

Hello.:)

Whats your current status of your Wii please ?
Did you exactly do what XFlak recommended ?

Thank you for your reply.:)

Well, my Wii is blinking blue on the disc drive with the files on the SD card. It doesn't show the health screen anymore. I put in a Wii game from 2011, Kirby's Return to Dreamland in the disc drive to see if that did anything, it didn't. It's also green and black on the power LED. It still doesn't boot. And yes, I did what XFlak recommended. Except, it doesn't boot, it blinks instead of just a health screen then a black screen.
