So i bought myself a defective Switch in the hope that the switch just boots into rcm or and could be easily revived since i want an online Switch for myself.

But i got not that much luck.
It won't charge, the console has been opened already but on the first look there isn't something destroyed.

Since it won't charge i think the first thing would be to check if i can get a current from the USB-c Port after plugging the charger in and looking if the current is getting to the battery - right?
I've got a Voltcraft V100 Series Multimeter but need to lookup how to check something, because my knowledge in electricity and such stuff isn't that great - but i can and would gladly learn by getting this one to work.

Do layouts exists which could tell me which circuit points etc. i need to additionally check? I bet there won't be just a direct connection from the USB-C Voltage Ports to the Batterypack...

If needed i can also try to get some good pictures from the switch and Multimeter readings.

Many thanks! :)

PS: If Hardware is the wrong section for that please feel free to move it somewhere else.

i was just about to link to the above videos too.
he has plenty of switch repairs vids, plenty of things to check

Yeah, already bought flux, a heat "cannon" and the usb voltage tester which will come tomorrow.

Then i can for myself check what i need to setup on my multimeter to get the same charging value as the usb-tester :) But atleast i can do some ground-checks on the resistor.

I assume those chips and resistors can only bought on chinese websites right? Like i need to search for those resistor and IC names. Or do i need some defect consoles as spare-parts?
