Nintendo really want you to beat Super Mario Galaxy 2, they just confirmed they will include a bonus DVD with the game.

This DVD will show you all the techniques to beat the game, including strategies for the tough levels.

Note : This DVD will not be readable on the Wii, you will need a DVD player

Now this is lame

I think that last part is more lame than the bonus disc.

How so? If it could be played on a Wii and you didn't have a DVD player you would end up having to switch between the Help DVD and the game.

And if you think just soaking in the level on the Help Disk and then changing back to the game, there will most likely be spoilers!

This is as good as using guides. But I find the game most fun when it is solved without any help.

But Wii's cannot't read DVD's.LOL nintendo.
Maybe the next Wii will have DVD reading capability.
Or Nintendo will never learn from what they do.

This just means the whole "casual gamer market" thing might be going a bit too far. Now Nintendo is simply indulging the stupidity of these "casual gamers", as most of them are too mentally lazy to even consider figuring out a game more complex than Wii Fit for themselves.

As much as I like Nintendo, a lot of these "casual gamers" sicken me.

1> No one has heard of WiiMC????? lmfao

2> They should have made it downloadable as a pdf-type file that is viewable through clicking on a wad channel....although it would probably cause the need for a system f/w update to make that possible.

The DVD WILL be on the net, that's for sure

They already have the Superguide, I don't see the use of another Help disc really...

Unless of course, SMG2 is very hard even for hardcore gamers

The Wii already does.

i'm thinking maybe N will have an update on smg2 that will make the wii able to read dvd and they require you install it. and it will also include some other nasty hidden surprises for homebrew

How do we know this is really a dvd? For all we know this can be a game disc made to act like a dvd that way the wii can read it. Just a menu and a link to the video. That seems highly possible to me.

maybe its both!!! that would be my guess to is that they just made some fancy game disc but it has a bunch of videos on it or that plus if you stick it into a DVD player it would bring up a menu and stuff.
