Blazblue: Calamity Trigger Discussion thread

From the creators of Guilty Gear, comes Blazblue, the next gen 2D fighting game for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. It's coming out on June 30th for home consoles, while it's been out since Novemeber in the arcades.

There's 12 characters to use, with their own unique abilities, to fit one's personal play style. From the incredibly powerful but slow Iron Tager, to Lightning fast Taokaka that's all over the screen most of the time. I'm quite sure everyone would find their own character to choose.

Me, being a huge Guilty Gear fan, is quite excited. Not to mention, I've played it numerously at a local arcade. I know it's an excellent game for Guilty Gear fans.

As well, it gets a huge 30 hour storyline, online play, and lots of extra content that comes with the game. Oh, and if you pre-ordered, you get a limited edition version for free (I know I got mine)

I'm tired of Street Fighter and Arc System produces some really good ones. I've enjoyed almost all their fighters

This game is purely awesome in all of it aspects, Too bad i haven't seen an arcade with the PCB here in México...

It isn't. It's a bit slower, and there's 4 buttons, instead of 5 buttons. All the characters play differently from GG games (I know, because I played all the GG:XX games. Not to mention that I can use anyone besides Dizzy and Zappa.)

It simply just borrows a few of the aspects and builds up on what made Guilty gear, and just gave it some tweaks. While not completely innovative, it's still fun to play.

I also love the fact that every character in the game is somehow fucked up or batshit insane.

9.4, actually. And if you read through the review, it's quite clear that the critic was very biased. Very biased.

OH JESUS. HAKUMEN? I thought you'd settle for Taokaka, lol. What made you change your mind? The fact that he has ridiculous amount of damage, and the fact that he's defensive?

Well, on a whim, I decided to use Hakumen during my losing streak (I lost like 8 times in a row, lol) online, and I raped this Ragna using his counter drive and spamming C. I'm surprisingly good with him, and I've hit level 8 using him by now. And it's gay how the PSN chats have wordfilters, lol.
