I was wondering if with 4.0 the wii would be able to handle bigger wads...
If so we could inject some neo geo wads, such as the king of fighters 1997 or garou!

Can you try it ? I dont kno whow to inject!

    No
It's not a size problem in regards to the Wii, it's a size problem in regards to the wads themselves

    How come?
Maybe now nintendo will start launching bigger wads.
    We could study them!

Hmm. you may or may not be right about this
But i think they will make bigger games now, hence we can now put 32 gb sticks in the wii now:/

The games are copied from the SD card to the Wii when you play them, so you can't make them too big cos the Wii doesn't have the space to copy them to.

It would be a waste if they didn't decide to make bigger games as a result of this.

the new Arcade VC games coupld take advantage of it.

Be great to see an official release of street fighter 3 on it.
Or Dreamcast games added to the VC.

Probably not very feasible though. a guy can dream though.

you realize that the fact big neogeo games don't run is not a matter of the size used to store the channel ?

it's a problem with the RAM size, which is the max.available memory the emulator can use...
this unfortunately can NOT be increased and the max. size for rom depends on how the emulator was coded
