Well Xflat My mom took my 4.1 wii and updated it to 4.3 by accident (no Priiloader then). When I used the modmii wizard it asked me if I should use Active IOS I said yes I think I was supposed to say no so did I inadvertently install darkcorp or Cisoocorp?

Everything seems to work fine but home brew browser and it wont mount the sd or usb.

I mainly just use the wii for home brew.

Would you like to download active IOSs?

N = No

You're on System Menu 4.3, so you likely already have the latest IOSs.
If your Wii has truly never been modified before, you can say No.

Y = Yes

If your Wii has DarkCorp/cIOSCorp installed, you can say Yes to overwrite it.
If original Wii discs or WiiWare are not working properly, say Yes to fix it.

So downloading Active IOSs is not the same as installing DarkCorp or cIOSCorp.
It just overwrites them if they exist.
When you update to 4.3 all IOSs are updated, so this step is not neccesary, but it can do no harm.

Anyone who wants to beta test ModMii v4.5.3, here's the download link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?vwaj02czhjkb2fw

but you'll need to send me a PM for the password

And to all those that have beta tested for me recently, the password is the same as last time, but send me a PM anyways so I can let you know what needs testing
So 4 people have downloaded the latest beta but only 1 has PM'd me about it. If you're one of those 3 people, please send me a PM so I can get you to beta test the new functions
biggrin.gif

The new features in this beta are 100% safe to test even for those without bootmii @ boot2. The majority of the changes only enhance ModMii's nand builder and sneek installer, so technically it's safe for people to test without ANY brick protection whatsoever. This is still an open beta, so if you want to test it just send me a PM!

Thanks!

I can't get COD Black Ops or LEGO Star Wars Clone Wars to load.
COD is stuck at the loading screen and LEGO I just get a white screen. I've tried the different cIOS as people suggest (yes I've used the search option) but none seen to work.

These are the ones I have installed from the latest Modmii.

Your unique list of wads to install are as follows:

* IOS11v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP])
* IOS20v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP])
* IOS30v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP])
* IOS50v14889(IOS50v4889[FS-ES-NP])
* IOS60v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP])
* IOS70v16687(IOS70v6687[FS-ES-NP])
* IOS80v6944[FS-ES-NP]
* cIOS202[57]-v5
* cIOS223[37-38]-v4
* cIOS222[38]-v5
* cIOS224[57]-v5
* cIOS249[56]-v21d2x3
* cIOS250[57]-v21d2x3
* RVL-cmios-v4_WiiGator_GCBL_v0.2
* Mii-Channel-NUS-v6
* Photo-Channel-1.1-NUS-v3
* Shopping-Channel-NUS-v20
* Opera-Internet-Channel-NUS[E]
* Weather-Channel-NUS-v7[E]
* NEWS-Channel-NUS-v7[E]
* Wii-Speak-Channel-NUS[E]
* IOS56-64-v5662
* IOS58-64-v6176
* USBLoader(s)-ahbprot58-SD-USB-v9-IDCL
This is a forwarder channel that will load the first file it finds from the following list:
SD+USB:\apps\usbloader\boot.dol
SD+USB:\apps\usbloader\boot.elf
SD+USB:\apps\usb-loader\boot.dol
SD+USB:\apps\usb-loader\boot.elf
SD+USB:\apps\usbloader_cfg\boot.dol
SD+USB:\apps\usbloader_cfg\boot.elf
SD+USB:\apps\WiiFlow\boot.dol
SD+USB:\apps\WiiFlow\boot.elf
SD+USB:\apps\usbloader_gx\boot.dol
SD+USB:\apps\usbloader_gx\boot.elf
Notes: IOS58 is required to launch apps from an SD Card and hard drives formatted as
FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext3 and ext4. It also supports meta.xml arguments
and is able to launch apps with direct hardware access.
You should always have at least one forwarder channel installed on your Wii,
that way, in the event of accidental update, you will be able to rehack your Wii without relying on a disc based exploit

Thanks.

Try making them load with cIOS250[57]-v21d2x3 from your loader. So selecting 250 in the loader for COD, for example. You'll find it somewhere in the loader settings for the game. It's the [57] part that helps get the game going. I know both of those games work for me, doing that.

Which USB Loader are you using? And which version?
For Call of Duty Black Ops you can use cIOS250[57]-v21d2x3 or cIOS224[57]-v5

I use call of duty cIOS250rev20b[57]. Grab the offical waninkoko installer for this cIOS and install like that rev20b using base 57installed to either slot 249 or 250. I have mine installed to 250. So far the wifey plays it fine & has been for months now.

Ok I will try and update.
Strange though as I only modded my wii 3 days ago using the latest Modmii, I would have thought COD and LEGO Clone Wars would work of the bat so to speak?

As far as I'm aware CFG uses usbloader not usbloader_gx. I'm new to this, can I install usbloader_gx and have usbloader?

Edit: Just looked at this. It says I have to have WBFS partition on my usb drive, mine is formatted to FAT32 as suggested in Modmii. I've over 60 games on my drive and don't fancy reformatting just to use this forwarder.

I still don't understand how Modmii's cIOS250[57]-v21d2x3 or cIOS224[57]-v5 don't work as they seem to work for other people? Maybe my games borked?

I understand how to install new cIOS' but how do you install base 57 to 249 or 250?

It asks you which base IOS to usel\; the options should be available in the cios installer. If by some reason your unable to figure this one out pm me & i'll make it simple by sending you a link. I'm sort of multitasking atm so not trying to sound rude just typing w/one hand.

Two problems to report:
1.) The update feature seems to be leaving old copies in it's folder. While one old copy is ok (something to fall back on) too many will (obviously enough) cause issues with space.
2.) I tried using the V command in Modmii 4.5.2 (newest) and it took me to a Linkbucks/SeriousURL page. This page had this thread in a corner (with scroll bars on it). I've actually had this kind of link before when I download something from gbatemp. Also there were some known bad sites trying to operate from it.

I use Firefox as my primary browser and am currently running FF4 those this has happened in FF3.x as well.

The thread in a corner? This is just a way that Xflak tries to make a profit out of Modmii (though $35 isn't really a profit

) For the update feature, I would just recommend trying FC (that's what it was made for)
