yes, but you'll need to use one of the classic wiimotes (or GC controllers). New consoles are typically sold with the wiimote+'s

it's very easy to do, I've had reports of a 6yr old using ModMii successfully... although you should be trying to backup your games, not pirate them

If you can follow instructions, next to zero. So far not a single person has reported bricking their wii by using modmii.

not true. If you apply cheats then play online, u'll get banned. But if you're not cheating its fine.

What about downloading and other kind of stuff?

Wilbrand want a date with mm/dd/yyyy

The Wilbrand.exe is trying to parse the date and if it fails you'll have a message

"Error parsing date "

If it works you have a mail on your wii coming from

"[email protected]"

For me it works ...
you can try it manually as it explains when you run wilbrand.exe alone

MAC address can be found in the wii settings -> internet information
it is 12 ascii characters.   date is the date you want the message to show up on the messageboard.
format is mm/dd/yyyy
or # of seconds since 00:00:00 jan 1, 2000
expressed as a 32bit hex number
sysmenu version of the system menu to build the exploit for;  4.3e, 4.3k...   SD Root is the root of the SD card.  this program will create the necessary
subfolders and then slap the exploit in it

It creates forlder but depending on the parsing date.
- If i enter 04\29\2012 the folder for the mail is 2000\00\01 ...
- If i enter 04/29/2012 the folder for the mail is 2012\03\29 ...
- If i enter 04292012 the folder for the mail is 2002\02\19 ...

I think the parsing of the date had to be improved by giantpune ...
But that's only some tests done today ...

2. with the new discless exploit (wiibrand) i will still using the disc exploits like return of jodi??

1. By updating modmii, you don't/won't necessarily update your softmod. Do nothing.
2. Yes.

I have brand new Wii mario cart 4.3.
I did it, I am NOOB 2 , but I did it .
I just read, and read and read before I was start to mod.
I have not a clue what is ios, what is wad ...
It was problem during instal wad , but google solve problem.

I failed as a beta tester then. Blame it on me. I should have caught that. But I need to test it myself to confirm, but lately my time is stretched very thin. I actually still have a few other things to test out for pune that I just haven't had the time for lately. It's hard being a family man... at least for my family.

I tested this about a month ago and I at least confirmed that it did in fact work for every SM from 3.0 to 4.3 on every region, but I did not extensively test different dates. I tried a few random dates and never had any issues.

That's not wrong, you guys don't understand how dates work in C code.

You are absolutely right. I don't understand any single bit of C code, nor are the sources available anyways. But it would make sense to me that if someone enters in a date and it compiles the exploit for a different date then there is a mess up on one end or the other. Would you mind explaining it at least as briefly as you can please?

What I can confirm, is that when I was beta testing this exploit it did in fact work for the dates that I had entered in, and not had a month difference, so I am wanting to understand why Anon10w1z was running into this issue.

Could this be a problem that ModMii might have to deal with also? Or was it just a stupid user error?

There is no error at all, if Anon10w1z bothered to test it on his wii he would find it shows up on the correct date. Instead he is only looking at the directory path which uses C style notation for the month i.e. the number of months passed since January (so January is 0, April is 3...).

Will wilbrand work with those of us that keep the date way before 2000?

ModMii will build the exploit for whatever "yesterday" is according to your Windows settings. If you're date is before 2000, it should work fine, but you'll need to navigate to the appropriate date when looking for the exploit on your message board. You can also manually use Wilbrand.exe (should be saved to ModMii's temp folder after using it once) to specify any date of your choosing.

how did you set the date before 2000? the html in the system menu is hardcoded to limit it between 2000 and 2035.
