Crystal was the best IMO because your able to visit both of the regions that were out at that time and it wasnt an easy game to get through, I liked the challenge.
What is so great about being able to visit kanto again? is that really what made Crystal so good? It's not my favorite game, but of the reasons I do like it, Kanto has very little to do with it.
Also the "whats so great" question i asked is an honest question. I'm seriously lost on what the big deal is.
Kanto brings back memories, and you are able to battle trainers, gym leaders and all that other stuff there. It's not the thought of visiting Kanto, it's the thought of being able to go to two regions.
Didn't include FR/LG because I never got around to playing them.
I put D/P/Pl in last place because despite the updated graphics, the game just isn't as fun as the previous games have been. I played though both Diamond and Platinum, and both times I had to force myself to finish it. The game just isn't enjoyable anymore, and the Pokemon are all forgettable. The only fun feature about the game is the ability to battle and trade with people online/without a link cable.
Platinum follows, due to the vast amount of things you can do, that game literally goes on and on.
Fire Red/ Leaf Green was great, i especially like those Sevii islands, which added much more time and length to the game, i also was pleased to see that it could link up to Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, which were also great games as well.
I honestly didn't really played any of the new ones, but the ones that are still deeply in my heart are the retro RED, BLUE and YELLOW! Amazing Pokemon games cuz it was aligned to what I was watching on the episodes, thats why! I have no idea of the story right now, so I dont like the new ones!
Platinum is just WOW. It's awesome, both for casual and hardcore Pokémon players. But Gold & Silver were HUGE improvements over RBY. I liked Crystal the most of the lot, having more things to do and such.
