I only know the Myriann ones (apparently the same as Basstop). They're good, but they're even better if you lodge an appropriate piece of something (I used a rounded bit of plastic that broke off something else) underneath the centre of the d-pad, to act as a rocker, then the d-pad behaves like a proper rolling one and prevents you from being able to mush all the directions down at once.

thanks for the replies. not sure why i didnt get notified of these earlier. yeah, id hate to press all directions at the same time. this dpad in the video seems much nicer than the basstop that i had been looking at.

I tried one "generic" left yellow shell in AliExpress and when I got it, the screws didn't fit. I don't recommend buying these things in AliExpress. They take a month to arrive and they might not work, they are only cheap and that's it.

I tried again, now in Amazon, and spent 20€ for this shell and it's mostly perfect. I sat "Mostly" because the colored buttons are trash and I ended up using the OG black buttons after a few hours. Everything else is perfect, the dpad has more or less the same texture as the OG buttons and it works perfectly, the shell closes perfectly and it comes with new 4-star screws instead of the 3-star the OG joycon uses. Very satisfied.

Turns out my kids got my these replacement shells. They look and feel fine. Digging the dpad now. The curvature of the dpad is nice.

Yes, have the extreme rate shell with dpad too. I am very satisfied, although the material they used is a bit slippier than the one from the original shell.

I have the ExtremeRate clear joycon shell with dpad. Put it on 3 days ago. Its awesome. I thought it only came with a clear dpad so I bought a matte button set. It came with a shiny black d-pad so I am returning the matte button set, I do like matte one better but wont pay $15 for it

. Careful. The screws are incredibly easy to cross thread. I think a few is okay though because there is 30+ screws in each joycon. it still feels REALLY solid. Thinking about lock-tite maybe. I would think about changing out the stick while you are in there if you haven't fixed the drift yet.. or a broken lock..
