What are good Half-Life 2 mods? Particularly single-player mods but multiplayer ones are good too

Nightmare House 2 is awesome.
Don't mind not having played the first one, it's included in NH2 as the prologue.

I've heard quite a bit about Goldeneye Source but haven't tried it myself.

Otherwise, most Half Life 2 mods/Source engine games that I can think that are excellent are Valve owned and operated.

There's also Alien Swarm (which isn't a Half Life 2 mod but uses the Source SDK) and it's free on Steam.

Best multiplayer Source Engine mod by far in my opinion would be Pirates, Vikings & Knights II. Fun and enjoyable multiplayer concept that differs from everyday FPSs. There's also a quite decent number of people playing it most of the time.

Incredibly fun. Has a decent number of people playing, though i'm pretty sure most servers are European.
