Hacking Best CFW

Been abroad for a year and not updated the cfw on ps3. What's the best one available now? Rogero 4.55 or Rebug?

Habib's Starbucks or Rebug. I would sit with Rebug, as it seems Habib is still ironing out stuff.

Rogero hasn't had a release for months. Rebug is up to 4.70. They finally fixed the PS2 emu controller sync bug. It has the latest Cobra edition. You can use all the retail functions. You can use game saves from any owner. PC remote play works better. You can turn trophies on/off. I'm not sure if it supports different PS1 formats, that might just be Starbucks.

So many features in rebug. Install Rex or d-rex? After that need to fiddle with any settings or use like Rogero to play backups?

Habib teamed up with Rebug iirc.
I'd say go for Rebug, it releases aren't buggy.

Rex is for CEX console and D-rex is for DEX console. If you do not know which one your PS3 console is, then it is most likely a CEX console, so you should download REX rebug firmware. I do not know if there is a check in the firmware installer to see if your console matches the version you downloaded. So download and install at your own discretion.

rebug is probably very stable.
habib is pretty straight forward with the feature set
rogero, well we wont be seeing any updates anytime soon.

best is very subjective.

habib, fast to release
rebug, very tidy work, they test thoroughly before rls
rogero, used to be the goto cfw before, not as fast to rls before like habib and not to late like rebug, usually a couple of revisions of the same release due to bug fixes (bsod fixes etc)
