Hi all, should be getting a XL real soon, whats the best flashcart for it??????

i would normally say that there is no best flashcart so far, but my posts aren't napalm to start flamewars...

let's just say that there is a lot of flashcarts around, and any that

- works well with 1.4 firmware
- have an active team
- is not fake/pirate

can be a good choice

I got an acekard 2i and I must warn you that some of them need to be updated in an older model DS in order to work in the DSi XL. I bought my acekard in www.discoazul.pt

Dont got any other information on other cards, so im not defending or attacking acekard, just giving out my personal experience.

Is anything wrong with the R4DSi platinum? They used to be all the rage back in the day, are they no longer a good card to get. Im getting an XL next week or so and was just going to get another R4 like i'm used to, but no one seems to be actively recommending them any more

The R4 is the worst flashcart ever. It can't play any of the new games like Pokemon. Its compatibility sucks, and there is no support for this stupid flashcart. Do us all a favor and just get a Acekard 2i or a M3i Zero.

duely noted Acekard or M3i it is. I'm not too fussed about 100% compatibiliy... but if its horrific then I wont waste my money. I'll be getting my DSi XL and a flashcard together from the same dealer, so I will at least know its updated to work together.

yeah i was referring to my old and trusty R4 (spring loaded, non-dsi, non-sdhc) workhorse card in my normal DS lite. If we were 4 years in the past or whenever it was I bought this, i'd recommend it in a heartbeat

What about EZ Flash V5i? Heard it was one of the best for the DSiXL and the one more likely to crack first the DSi section..

Also vouch for the Acekard 2i comes updated with 1.4 fix,if your in the UK i got mine fron NDS-Gear, decent prices and mega fast delivery

and they are genuine, the two i brought had no probs with springs, loaders, firmware, anything cant fault them
