Somebody must have It in their PS4 6.72 to dump It... simple as that.

This is the most anticipated game for me once it's dumped i'll backport it to 5.05.
Do you know if there are linux tools for backporting besides the Python scripts?

I think it could as well take some time. since someone has to meet the following criteria:
- Owning a PS4 that came with a Firmware 6.72 or lower
- Having logged into PSN to get Beat Saber before an update came out
- Not having updated since then
- Actually being willing to share a dump of the game

It's the third part that is the most difficult one, I guess. I mean, it is possible. I once activated a PS4 with a PSN account in order to activate Remote Play natively and held out on updating until the next exploit (after which other means of getting Remote Play to work on a hacked PS4 surfaced). Therefore it is not impossible, but I would not get my hopes up that someone did this accidentally and now realizes "Oh, I can dump Beat Saber. How convenient."

I'm a long time forum lurker and usually when KiiWii says something's coming soon, you won't be waiting much longer.

I think it's probably safe to assume that we'll see a lot more games once more 5.05ers update.

I can get behind the first part, but what exactly would be the benefit of 5.05 users updating when it comes to digitall-only games? Physical games in the range of 5.50-6.72 are already being dumped aplenty and 5.05 users won't be able to dump any digital games that came out after 5.05, well, because they stayed on 5.05.

I would still like to understand the logic here. Please elaborate.

Yeah idk about 5.05’rs magically having 6.72 games to dump. But anyone on >5.05 back when, who stayed on 5.50/6.20, COULD have some stuff dumpable now.

Erm... the installing requires you to have paid for it. If you’re talking about installing the retail pkg, not a FPKG. Afaik there isn’t a retail disc for beatsaber yet, atleast not in UK anyway.

that's the way it it for every system. for example, to make a fix for a ps3 game, you need the rap. the only way to get the license is to have paid for it. it's the same way with every system, someone had to have paid for the game at some point down the line in order to make the game free, which is essentially the only way to pirate the game. going on my ps3 example, that's why there's no way to fix ps2 games. there's no free klicense (i.e. there was never a free ps2 game released). that's essentially what every dev/hacker banks on, some game that's free. I'm pretty sure that's why that pokemon game was used on the switch in the early days of installing games. it was free.
