Bayonetta Creator Not Thrilled With Erotic Bayonetta Send-Ups

Bayonetta is one sexy game. The main character, Bayonetta, is encased in a full-body suit made of human hair and struts around in high heels outfitted with pistols. See? That's hot. And is fertile ground for porn parody fan art.

However, Bayonetta designer Hideki Kamiya doesn't exactly seem too happy with that sort of thing, writing, "It seems there is an erotic doujinshi of Bayonetta...There are fans that find that sort of thing unpleasant, and I don't think it can possibly show any sort of love for the game."

Unpleasant or not, doujinshi (think fan fiction) come with the territory and are often a good gauge of a game or character's popularity.

Rule 34 of the internet: If you can think of it, there's porn of it. It happens with practically every game, and when you have any sexy character in any type of media, there's gonna be porn parodies of it.

Rule 34 is ok when it's tasteful but too many people cross the line and create and post distasteful porn/hentai, it happens more in anime than games though. However, some anime and games have almost all of their rule 34 being distasteful (example: Mai-Otome, none of it is tasteful and most is nightmare fuel).

He should be happy knowing that he isn't the only creator of a female character that has had his creation turned into porn. Pretty much all of the following have had some sort of fan creation that is pornographic made about them:

Lara Croft
Female characters from Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest
Street Fighter
Dead Or Alive
Queens Blade (hell it's a boarderline porn TV show)

Pretty much every female video game character has been put into animated porn at some point or another, including beloved female Nintendo characters.
