And I'm using the sun / moon ips patches helper however it is not generating the code.ips file but rather an archiver called code_edit.bin and it does not work in the game Same rename for code.bin. Ips used ... DisableNFC v1.1, InstMessage, SciresM

Hey guys, applied the new patches to my game and tried to play with them. As soon as I went to save in-game, it froze & kicked me back to home menu. Once I reloaded the game, my save was corrupted.
DisableNFC, InstMessage, SaltySD, SciresM QR Patch, and Walk Speed x1.375 were the patches I had applied

The one by Katsumi San that contains a tutorial on how to extract code.bin from the updates.
Do we dump our carts again? If not, how do you dump from the update?

I just posted a link to a post that instructs on how to do it. Cliff's notes version: use GodMode9, find Sysnand SD, title number 0004000e, then title number of Sun or Moon, find the .app file, mount the image to drive, find exefs and copy the .code file to your SD card's root or wherever on the SD card. The tutorial's more detailed, but overall it's quick and simple.

you just have to rename it from .code to Sun/Moon.bin to use with this.
Aw... really? Used to be easy to patch both games with the renaming.
Guess I'll put each in their own folders.
