Sorry to ask for help again, however, I am doing my best to follow up on all that has been said to do with Python for mac, and I just can't get it. Is there anyway I could get some guidence again?

Err... I have a question, in which file do you have to apply the .ips patch if you want to have these changes permanently, on the .3DS ROM File?

I used the Scires QR ips for my ultramoon v1.2, but it doesn't work. It does work for my pokemon sun, tho, so I don't know what is wrong.

they use different patch file. cuz they are different games. and patch is also version-dependent.

I know, I used the patch for my sun version in its own folder, which I downloaded from the other topic you created, and another folder with the ultramoon patch for v1.2 from this topic. The sun patch worked, but the ultramoon patch didn't, it just lets me to scan qr codes like normal, no injection or anything.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you install these on a .3ds file for citra
You're not sorry, or you would've searched.

Unpack the game (HackingToolkit9DS works for this), apply the code.ips to code.bin (LunarIPS or your IPS patcher of choice), then repack the game.

One of my friends installed this patches long ago(after the newest patch for the game came out), now he erased the patches and disabled the use game patches on the luma menu(he is using 8.1 atm) but now when he wants to play the battle tree he is able to use legendaries and the level of his Pokemon doesn't decrease to level 50 so he has level 80 on the battle tree
is there any way these patches would work even after removing them? like for example overwriting something on the save
also he started a new save and he still has this problem
does something like this happened to someone else?
he uses a new 3ds xl if that matters with the clock + L2 option on luma
EDIT: Sorry it seems that is supposed to work that way in the ultra games

did u friend apply the patch to code.bin patch itself? and installed the patch update?
using the patch as ips with luma does not change the game permenantly.

no, sorry it seems it was his mistake since this happens by default he was playing on the normal course and this is normal but since that change was made only on USUM he was confused...
thanks for answering anyway

hey guys and gals,
save files can get corrupt if you use a patch, save, then remove the patch..
BUT, do any of you knows if the patch ''disable NFC'' could mess up my save file if i use it for a while, and then remove it?.. i mean, i understand its only for disabling/enabling NFC so it shouldnt mess normal game files..but..who knows.. ..

it wont. it's on-the-fly patch, not static modification.

hi and thansk for the reply,
i know, but even if it doesnt mod the game files it can mess up a save file if you save with certain patches and then remove the patch and play the same game files, for exemple if a patch allows to go through the ground and then save underground..you might get issues when getting back in this save file if you removed the patch while still under ground :P

..but, since this 'no NFC patch' is not altering game files fonctions but only a driver fonction for the nfc, i was wondering if it could cause issues if i save without NFC, and then, remove the patch and use the same save file?

the nfc status wont saved in your game profile.
it only execute at the time u launch the game. it's like a prerequest check

alright thanks, so i guess its impossible that, after saving and removing the patch, FestivalPlaza wont work anymore? the only reason i was wondering this specific thing, is because i read taht with this patch, it fixes the NTR streaming, but it DISABLE completly the FestivalPlaza while its active.. but i guess once i save and then remove the patch, everything will be fine, right? have you tested it? eitherway, i will backup my save file and test it deeply in the next 2 days :P

have a good one.

yes. i dont think it disabled the plaza.

Hello, I tried to change the probability that a shiny egg comes out with the "Customize shiny rate" cheat but it does not work ... is there a way to make it work?

Is there a no experience patch or does anybody know how you'd go about doing it?

For clarification I mean so Pokemon don't gain experience at all and thus don't level up; I've seen a few challenge runs of early generations and it looks like it would be fun for USUM.
