Does anyone know of a way to backup and restore the save file from WarioWare DIY? I searched online and didn't find anyone asking this.
Methods I've tried:
-NDS Backup Tool 3in1 - said there was no save file at all
-NDS Backup Adapter Plus - crashed when the cart was inserted
-Action Replay DSI - couldn't find save file
-SavHax by Chase-San - Doesn't have an option large enough; found only FF's

As for backing up, it isn't in the ROM (128MB and only about 16 of it is used) like I found mentioned somewhere on these forums.

Any ideas?

Unless I missed something, his tools require you already have a save file.

After more looking, the cart has a different type of NAND flash. Anyone know of any tools to read and write to it?

Hiya.

I've been trying to get to the bottom of this and I've been getting nowhere. Savegame Manager does not work; this is one game that is explicitly listed as unsupported.

Of course, the game runs perfectly from a flashcart using Wood R4 (well, saving is a little slow and WFC downloads don't always work), and I can always transfer games to my retail cart one-by-one using DS-to-DS communication. But is there still no means of dumpping/restoring save data from a retail cart? Are all those save-editing utilities out there meant solely for use with emulators and flashcarts?

Do we know if Jam with the Band and WarioWare DIY use the exact same save method/type?

If Wikipedia is anything to go by, then yes, they both use NAND flash, but I think WarioWare DIY is 16 MB, whereas Jam with the Band is 8 MB.

What of it? Is there a way of dumping Jam with the Band save data?

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in

    it's dumb

    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
