Desperate for a Nintendo DS but can't quite afford it? Neither could an eleven year old schoolgirl who wrote to Nintendo as part of a school project - only to have a Nintendo DS sent to her in return!

Aussie schoolgirl's letter to Nintendo. The young Aussie sixth grader, known only as Helen, explained to Nintendo that she had "begged" her parents for Nintendo hand held, but that they had refused to buy her one. Poor lass.
So, instead of taking no for an answer, she took it right to the top, asking Nintendo if they could send her one instead. Astonishingly, they said yes.
You can check out her letter to Nintendo and the Big N's response in the image to your left, but beware of the grammatical failings - the girl may have got a Nintendo DS out of Nintendo for her efforts, but she could only garner a C from her teacher.

Interesting, but how many letters do you think Ninty will receive after this? And how do they know which ones are telling the truth -.-

In this case, I think they did contact the principal of the school to verify the letter's authenticity. They just don't go sending free stuff out left and right.

Agreed tinymonkeyt...now people are gonna attempt to abuse the f*** out of this and ruin any chance for someone who can't actually afford it to be sent something again.

Now if we can get Nintendo of America to rethink their crappy Club Nintendo in comparison to Japan's (they are getting the 2 disc Platinum Super Mario Galaxy 2 soundtrack today for 300 f'n coins - if you register a SMG2 code by the end of the year). Then we'll be in business

It's probably some 40 year old dude that has no job and wanted a free DS. He probably put a C at the bottom and made a ton of corrections with blue pen to make it convincing.
