Will a software exploit be available to 3.0.1 also, or will we have to open our consoles?

As far as i know you won't need to open your switch @ 3.0.1 but a Y00 tri-wing is always useful.

For the release 3.0.1-4.1.0 will need the easy hardmod, with a software variant in the future. 1.0.0-3.0.0 will have the software exploits available to them.

Should be the same as 5.0, easy hardmod indefinitely for release. Unsure about software variants, only time will tell.

Yeah, for those who doesn't want to do the (allegedly) simple hardmod they can wait. But they'll have to wait indefinitely, and you know people here are very impatient.

Atmosphère's still not ready yet, and public bootrom bug doesn't change that -- I'll be working as hard as I can to get it ready asap.

But how much the bootroom reveal helped you with Atmosphere? It'll help you to make a release earlier?

No - the bootrom exploit was ALREADY complete. Just behind a disclosure window until a different hacker breached it and therefore put it in the public domain.

This doesn't affect the timeline of Atmosphere from what i gather - it'll just be ready when it's ready. Give it a month i reckon.

Although judging by the commit activity on the Atmosphere repo a month maybe an overestimation! There's smoke coming off that man's keyboard at the moment.
