Right, Nintendo did say that. Despite the fact that their last gen console does support external USB.

Because external USB would interfere with handheld usage, one of the main marketable features of the console.

Hence why I would look to Atmosphere to provide this functionality




It's my whole point. This feature isn't for piracy. Legitimate gamers need this functionality too. Do you not believe me? Would it be more persuasive if I took a screenshot of my eShop purchase history page?

you're right. I find it unlikely they'd add support. I'm just reiterating what they've said when asked about it. they need to at least add save exporting. that's one of the only things I care about.

If it to be obtained legit way then you know it has to be through Nintendo. Homebrew stuffs can be done on SD, homebrew is one thing but piracy is another level, you have to probably get another developer to do it, I 100% guarantee you that team reswitch won't do it.

I'm not asking for this feature to support piracy. Only legitimate eShop purchases. Which I can prove with my eShop purchase history screenshot

Look like you would have to wait until someone outside of Team Reswitch to do it, or wait until Nintendo implement it, most developers doesn't want to do it due to the fact Nintendo going after anything now a day that has to do with piracy, from RCM dongle to Modchip you name it. Xor-troll was working on fsp-usb but he archived the project.

You're saying Reswitch might face more potential for legal action or takedowns from Nintendo than they already do? that's why they would never do it?

Yea custom firmware is one thing but having piracy involves is another thing, that why team reswitch doesn't even include those signature patches require to run backup. Outside of Team Xecuter of the other two major CFW, ReiNX and Atmosphere, Rei is the one that support piracy but he haven't really been that active with scene now a day.

Now a day Nintendo has been going after anything pretty much to with with piracy, ranging from Team Xecutor Admins like Max Louarn and Gary Bowser AKA GaryOPA here on Gbatemp, RCM injecting tool like Dragoninjector got shutdown with cease and desist due to Nintendo trying to stop people homebrewing and running backup on their switch.
