ROM Hack Atmosphère 0.9.1 > Switch won't tur on untill payload via PC

Hi! I have a freshly patched Switch with Atmosphère 0.9.1. Everything works fine except one _ I cannot turn on Switch by a button, I need to connect NS to PC and then console started. Trying to change fusee to hekate isn't helping. Is it normal behavior?

My guess is that your switch is set to autorcm. If that is the case then yes, you need to send a payload everytime you turn on the switch.

Also, you can push Hekate but if you are running Fw 8.1.0 it won't be able to boot into atmosphere.
You'll need to use Fusee.

I don't understand "A freshly patched Switch" Are you saying your Switch is patched? Well then you can run any payloads.

It sounds like you have AutoRCM installed, which automatically launches RCM upon powering on the Switch. You can remove AutoRCM, but then you're going to need a jig each time you want to launch RCM, and your efuses won't be preserved.

You need to go through RCM to boot Atmosphere. So yes, in order to launch HB you need to go through RCM.
However, you can disable autoRCM to be able to boot normally too but that will not allow you to use HB or any non legit game. Also your fuses will be burned, as it was mentioned by Lacius.

I am on 8.1.0. now. I disabling AutoRCM once just and was able to load to RCM again. BTW, does AutoRCM not draining battery anymore?

autoRCM never really drained the battery, what happens is that you won't be able to tell if the switch is on or off easily and so it would drain the battery because it was on. The only thing that is true is that it takes longer to charge the switch if charginng via RCM in case you ever let it deplete the battery completely.
