Atlus accidentally announces Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica, then deletes reveal post

Atlus was a little too prepared for Xbox's annual games showcase, as they have announced two games three days earlier than they should have. The Atlus West Instagram page posted a trailer for a game called Persona 3: Reload, followed immediately by an Instagram Reel post for a game called Persona 5: Tactica. Persona 3: Reload is the much-rumored ground-up remake of Persona 3, which looks modernized and runs in an engine similar to Persona 5. Speaking of P5, Tactica is a chibi-styled spinoff game with strategy RPG gameplay.

Persona 5 Tactica will be out later this year on November 17, 2023, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows, and will also be included with Game Pass. Meanwhile, Persona 3: Reload is out for the same platforms in early 2024. It's not yet known if these games will come to other platforms, as the trailers seem to be tailor-made for the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase. All posts involving the games are now deleted, but have obviously been backed up by fans.

This was because the community manager isn't a gamer aware of the events and confused the summer fest with the xbox showcase.

It's important to hire staff who know the world of video games!

good thing they haven't touched the originals, they're a good filter when someone says "I'm a PerSOnA fAn!1!". Also, that p5 dub sounding as crap as ever.

Another persona 5 spinoff... hm, wake me up when Persona 5 Kart drops, then we'll talk.

Excited for the Persona 3 remake though. Hope they add tolerable gameplay this time around :)

And Atlus will never aknowledge the existence of the first two games again.

There will always be people that prefer the original.
Especially when it's debated which version is better. The PS2 version and the PSP version both have their own ups and downs.

Atlus clearly is off their game recently, between that and the recent Etrian Odyssey debacle (re-releasing upscaled ports of the trilogy with Denuvo AND a crazy price tag, then "forgetting" to have Denuvo on the three Steam versions on day one, then updating the games to force back Denuvo on them).
