Hey all,

I've been using the guide on a n2DSxl and during Finalizing Setup Section III, I've been getting this error when attempting to relaunch Download Play:

ARM11 (Core 1); Exception Type: Data Abort; Fault Status: Translation - Page; Current Process: Rosalina (00000000000000)

I am able to access the Luma menu and I receive a success message when I set Download Play as the HB launcher, but crashes upon relaunch. I've triple checked that all the files are downloaded, properly named, and in the correct and properly named folders; unless I'm making some glaring error, everything seems to be in order. I also redownloaded and replaced GodMode9.firm and the homebrew launcher wrapper cia, but these have not helped. I've included the latest crash dump and other relevant info below. Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Misc info:

- I'm using a sandisk 128GB Mario-themed micro-sd formatted for FAT32 with GUIFormat.

- The system is a "refurbished" model from gamestop and was hacked previously. I found (and regrettably deleted) a folder of android apps, a folder titled Lost.F(something), and some things in the 3DS folder with the surname ndsbootstrap. I transferred everything that was left afterwards to the aforementioned 128gb card.I did do the recommended check for CFW in the 3DS hacks guide before deleting the stuff, however, and found nothing, so I assumed those things were pointless and deleted them.

- I have done this process before with a o2DS and this did not happen then.

If its already hacked. Then try proceeding with https://3ds.hacks.guide/restoring-cfw to complete the last of what you need.

I think it was hacked at one point, but B9S and everything that would have let me access what was on there was missing from the micro SD; I also already deleted every non-vanilla file. Regardless, it's not the installation of Luma I'm having trouble with, rather the finalizing setup section, specifically section three.

Thats not going over the installation of the cfw, read it. And aswell. If you still have the same sd card as what it came with for the random file names. You should check that card if your going to continue using it as it sounds like data corruption happened on it. Use https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows).html with full read write test on a fully empty formatted sd card to make sure its good to use.

@Xdqwerty, People who create revival services for the Wii end up in disaster, same goes for Pretendo lol.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
