I'm 22, lived in the UK all my life, currently in Coventry (or Chaventry as many of us call it...) and you needn't worry. The DS is seen as nerdy, but then so is everything else that's not drugs or teenage pregnancy related. If you're not playing your DS then people will just find something else to irritate you over, so I say fuck it, might as well have some fun anyway. Besides, are the opinions of people going out of their way to be annoying to innocent people really worth anything? Whenever you get abuse from some jackass claiming you're a nerd for playing your DS, just think to yourself 'yeah, but at least I know who my father is'.

Trains are fine, buses are a bit different but it just depends who else ends up on them. Train journeys tend to be longer so no-one really cares, it's quite common to see a chav or commuters on a PSP. (Southampton is nowhere near London btw, it's a 1hr 30min journey).

i live in newcastle in uk and my dsi never leaves the house lol im 20 so im abit old to be walking around with my ds. when i was young i used to always take my gameboy colour around and battle on pokemon but i was young then. just watch incase anyone trys to pinch ur dsi off u.

When I got my DSi and brought it to school to show my friends everyone made fun of me that I am a nerd because I got a DSi. Whenever I am with my friends go somewhere like an Ice Cream store and there is an asian that is sitting alone playing DS all my friends laugh quietly at him. I wouldn't even want to play the DS in the train station in New York because I will probably get robbed. But where I am at everyone thinks its nerdy even some Asians.

They don't really think the PSP is nerdy I don't know why.

I actually don't think I've ever seen anyone else using a DSi over here...but maybe some school kids have them. (By school kids I don't necessarily mean really young ones, don't worry.)

People don't think that PSP is nerdy cuz it plays music and videos.

So When you see someone with a psp it's more like: "He's probably watching a movie or listening to music."

Where someone is with a DS it's like: "What is he playing? Super Mario or is he learning how to cook?? That's just stupid"
