Hardware Apple USB keyboard on Windows USB Port not working?

so, i was bored with my Logitech Keyboard and decided to take my Dad's Apple USB keyboard from his old iMac from 98' just cause it was cooler.

it worked fine, and then i realized there was a USB port on each side, but when i tried them, it wasn't recognized by my Windows 7 x86!

anyone know how to get it recognized or why it wasn't recognized ?

should be usable on windows too
usually these usb port lack of power current, try to attach only mouse but no external hard disk etc..

Possibly drivers.

I know you need all sorts of strange drivers if you install Windows on a Mac.

those don't carry enough power for drives. just mice.

Actually, flash drives DO work from the keyboards. But SLOWLY.

i tried plugging in a bluetooth dongle, it turned on, the LED was flashing but it wasnt recognized by my PC
