@NautilusGaming sorry, I'm not sure I understand why it would be more difficult to do that for Zero. Maybe I expressed myself incorrectly. What I mean is to take textures from the pc version of Zero and use them on psp version of Zero, through ppsspp, just like you're doing with Ao. Having HD assets for UI and portraits (in conversations, menus, battle etc.) on Zero would be nice enough I think.

For Ao, do you intend to edit some of the assets you already have (for example the battle menus, that are using a simple font in black)?

It's not difficult, it's "time" consuming. That's what I mean. You're gonna have to do most of this stuff manually. The only thing ppsspp is gonna do for you is dump the textures. Not organise the thousands of hash codes of the textures you want to change with their replacements in the texture.ini or even play through the game for you while dumping the textures. A game save with free access to the locations and or content would be AMAZING >:(. What I'm trying to say is that there isn't a program that will do every step for you automatically or a simpler way that would make this less mind-numbing or quicker.

HD assets for menus and battle screen shouldn't take long. For conversations, it would depend if you want ALL of the portraits in HD. Which means you would have to play even further into the game to get those textures. That goes for other things as well.

When it comes to editing the font of the battle menu, no. To edit it yourself, I personally recommend photoshop. But if you have a prefered software then use that.

Ah, I see. It does seem time consuming indeed, especially without a save as you mentioned (for that, though, perhaps someone on falcom's reddit page could provide a file, I've seen people sharing their saves there before). Anyway, thanks for the clarification.

Yes, I like Photoshop too. When I have some time I'll probably try to edit the battle menu font and if the results are good I could share it with you here, in case you're interested.

Those particular settings fixed my battle stutters and additional load times, thanks!

Now I'm just hoping someone comes up with a 60fps PPSSPP cheat for this. It'd be nice for Zero as well for when I replay that one.

I am interested in the orbal arts manual pages. Will you be doing those? I have translations available for them if you like.

how come some text is in english ? is that a machine translation patch or is it a newer translated patch that I was unaware of ?

Redone translated Quartz/Arts information for PPSSPP(v2.1) and PC(v1.5) version.

@jimkage I don't fully understand what you mean. Be more specific.

Battle menu edited. It was actually pretty simple and quick to do while maintaing the style as close to the original as I could. I also realigned the words. I just don't know what those kanjis are and where they show up, so I didn't touch them.

Thanks. I'll add it to the next update. I'm using the ao no kiseki walkthrough and wikia to further translate some things in the detective notebook at the moment.

For anyone who wants to use @ton's updated battle menu right now for PPSSPP, download his attached file and move it to the "other" folder and overwrite the old battle1.png. PSP>TEXTURES>NPJH50473>other <----

Update
PPSSPP(v2.3)
Updated UI textures for "party select", Wazy, Tio, Rixia and Randy.
10 pages in the Manual section of the detective notebook translated.

PC(v2.0)
10 pages in the Manual section of the detective notebook translated.
Edited Character Camp menu "Status" images.

I plan on translating the chapter title images. Playing through the game a second time and will try to remember not to overwrite end chapter saves.

Thanks for doing this!

Maybe I'm missing an obvious step here... am I supposed to use this with PPSSPP? I'm not finding a "TEXTURES" folder to drop this into.

EDIT: I figured it out. First time replacing textures with the emulator.

How did you do it? I'm having the same issue.

Edit: I got it. I needed to make a TEXTURES folder at PPSSPP > memstick > PSP

I'm having some trouble with the Ao PC texture pack now. The game just flat out doesn't launch after I extract to the game's directory. Here's the error log if anyone can help.

It seems like d3d9.dll is causing the problem. I researched a bit and found a person with a similar issue and someone gave them a reply that might help.
One last question: is your Skyrim directory (or for that matter, Steam) inside "Program Files (x86)"? If so, some "non-certified' programs and DLLs may not run without administrator permissions, unless you'll have to move the entire installation out of that directory.
I personally run Ao on my second hard drive. I never ran it on my main, so I dont know if what's in the quote will work.
I'll edit this post and 1st post with link for Ao mod with latest Special K(0.8.65). Don't know if it'll help tho.
