Emunand won't help. It will allow you to install more games that appear on the Home Menu. But games not installed to SYSNAND TWLN will lead to:

An error has occurred
Press and hold the POWER Button
to turn the system off.
Please refer to the Operations
manual for details.

Seems the NAND redirection is not working when loading TWL_FIRM.

There is currently no way around this stupid limitation on the 2/3DS. Robz8 mentioned at some point (hope I remember correctly!) nds-bootstrap does not support loading DSiWare at the moment. Perhaps in the future.

On the other hand: A DSi with Unlaunch 0.9 or later can load DSiWare from TWilightMenu++

Why not just use the original controller you ripped apart? Cool project but seems like a waste. I made my own controller/ fight stick for switch using an Arduino, and even uploaded my code here on a forum.

Neither 8bitdo controllers nor Old Spice deodorants are some priceless relics, and if the guy wants to faff around let him.

  • Veho @ Veho:
The point is "cramming a controller into a deodorant stick" and not "making the best possible controller".
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True I guess, to each they own. I know I've made some projects in the past that are cool to me, but others are like wtf.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Generally most of the "let's cram stuff into other stuff" projects are learning experiences, they're not meant to result in an actually useful product. But you learn a lot.

Once you've done a few of those, building something actually useful will come much easier.

I made myself a soundboard handheld w amplified speaker and 3d printed a case with 10 buttons. Loaded it with bird sounds. I sit on my porch alot and use it to talk to the birds, and they respond back to it. I think its cool but wifey thinks I'm crazy.
