PS1/2 Any way to cheat in PS2 games with the PS2 softmod?

I am wondering if there is a "Cheat Device" program for the PS2 for legit games.

That's really my main focus as I can finally whittle down my PS2 backlog in record speed....

You could download the codebreak .elf or action replay.elf.
I assume you probably have freemcboot since it's a softmod, but just boot the elf file using ulaunch or something.

Codebreaker has an elf that works for sure.

I tried loading the cracked codebreaker.elf, but it loads extremely slowly. It basically doesn't work, even though it displays it.

Could it be because my PS2 is a Slim...?
