Gaming Any tips for COD MW2 ?

I really havent played a shooter for so long and never played any other COD games and in multiplayer and even campeign im dying ALOT, does anybody have any useful tips to help me out ?

Oh btw i already heard about the tip "dont get shot" before any body suggests that one

I'm about half way through the MW2 campaign on Veteran difficulty.

Here are some tips for single player:
-Use the lock-on function often when in mid-range battles, but when close-range just fire from the hip
-Take cover, the trick is to be able to see the enemy through the smallest possible opening
-When advancing, stay behind your teammate and use them as human shield
-Use your flashbangs

Thankss and anything for multiplayer like its bad i get no kills at all sometimes but i get killed about 18 or more times =/

I always seemed to do good by keeping my distance, crouching, and using laser sights... in MW 1 on PC...

use your flashbangs.
walk with your weapon in zoom, when your not looking down your sights your weapon is a good as a shotgun in terms of accuracy.
reloading is slower than changing weapon.

use cover constantly
dont just go running in kamikazi, because theres probably some camper hiding waiting for people to run by

avoid open area's were snipers like to pick people off easy

use the crawl to your advantage

be aware of cheap hiding spots in the maps that n00bs like to hide and get easy kills

try and be surrounded by your team, dont go wondering off

dont go running at the start of the level
wait about 10 secs so any nade n00bs wont get you throwing random nades across the map or nade launcher

You're probably like me and are not the type to run around everywhere trying to shoot people. I'm a much better sniper then I am running around and I can't get any kills that way so what I do is find a place where I can see everyone and snipe. I get many kills off of that.

So find a good hiding spot, stay low, get your scope out and JUST DON'T DIE!
