Gaming Any games with an "action-based battle system"?

Completely made that description up... anyway, I'm looking for PSP games with a battle system similar to Monster Hunter Freedom 2... or Kingdom Hearts 2, where you can actually move around and strategize and stuff. I don't like turn-based combat, or random battles.

I tried Monster Hunter 2 but it was just so... boring. For some reason, it's always one of the top games in GameFAQs... but I just don't see what's so fun about it.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but there's a Warriors Orochi game for the PSP that is exactly like the other versions. It's more of a beat-em'-up, but you should check it out. If I can think of anything else, I'll let you know.

P.S. I agree about MHF2, that game was incredibly boring. I never understood the hype about it.

Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core is an obvious choice

War has already played Crisis Core i think, but Crisis Core has random battles....
Try God of War OR Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

Crisis Core doesn't have random battles, they can be easily avoided. And the battle is not turn based!
But yeah, God of War would be a good option also
