is there any cfw that don't require gateway cards? only with my standard sd card and pc?

You can install an emuNAND and install CIA files (kind of like 3DS roms) to it.

They launch games installed in .CIA format. You'll need a flashcart to run .3DS games, but you can install anything in CIA format, the only difference is that .3DS is faster (no need to install) and somewhat more convenient.

For cartridge games, yes. And ROMs played through gateway are always region unlocked. In his case, with no flashcard, he'll need to ensure to use region-free CIA or convert the CIA to region free himself if the CIA is US or JP.

Don't worry comrade. Even if you use reinand which doesn't have region free fix you can still get freemultipatcher as a cia.

10.3 is the deadline to downgrade, you already screwed up by updating to 10.5.

You are wrong cfw like rxTools are region free so you don't need to convert the cia file I have many USA region cia's installed on my euro 3ds with rxTools and they all work perfectly

When did the support get added? I was running rxtools up to november's daily release on a JP unit and I can confirm that USA locked CIAs would install but would not playback due to wrong region. I abandoned rxtools in January for reinand for 10.3+ compatibility. I haven't seen anyone suggest or confirm rxtools now plays CIAs from other regions without patching to region-free prior to installing.

And just to be clear, I'm talking about CIA games not patched to be made region-free.

"Do not ask if you can achieve this without a hardmod, you can't.

sorry, but you're on 10.5. there are no exploits that allow downgrading from 10.5 as of yet, so a card like gateway or sky3ds is your only way for free games.

however, i'm not even sure if gateway or sky work when you start out from 10.5 firmware. you'll have to look into that

People have already indicated you removed your ability to downgrade after updating past 10.3

From your own link, read what it says "Do not ask if you can achieve this without a hardmod, you can't." There is no software-downgrade available for you. Move on. It really sounds like you are not going to go start hardware modifying your system, are you?

Gateway people already posted before saying not to upgrade past 10.3 because they have no working gameplan on exploits past 10.3.

Precisely, because unless there was some big revelation with RxTools since a month ago, it can't play out-of-region CIA games unless they are region-free patched games. I've installed USA CIA on my JP unit that were clearly not region-free and although they installed without error, running them produced the power off your system to continue error.

Sounds like you need to use NTR CFW language emulation.
