Hi, I've been using the original colorsDS homebrew for the ds as a digital sketchpath. Lately, I've been getting this really frustrating input problem when painting. What happens is I start making a stroke:

and suddenly the cursor will shot up to the left:

or sometimes, random spots of paint will appear in other parts of the screen:

It doesn't happen all the time, but it's constant enough to take the joy out of painting on the ds. I don't know if is this something with the homebrew itself, or is it a problem with my own tactile screen? I tried recalibrating.

Could it be fixed by replacing the touchscreen?
Maybe? I mean I don't really know what is the problem. If you do everything well, it might get fixed. Or maybe you might also cause other issues trying to replace it (if you do it poorly and parts are pressured strangely). I want to imagine that the problem is because something like that.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
