Gaming Animal Crossing WiFi - How to give fish?

Been playing Animal Crossing with my mate today. Wanted to give him the hammerhead shark I just caught but could not find a way to do it.

Anyone know how to do this?

A better question would be: how do you EAT the fish? Just kidding. I would guess you would go into your inventory & drop it on the ground near the person you want to give it to. Then let them pick it up! I'm guessing you want to give it to a human character & not the AI. I hope this helps!

You can't drop a fish on the ground (only release or show it off). Well technically you can in your house I guess but other people can't pick it up from there so not much use.

I thought about writing a letter and attaching the fish to it. Again could not find a way of sending a letter to a friend.

Any other ideas

There is no way to exchange fish and insects in animal crossing. the only possible way is through hacking or the use of the "Animal Crossing Map Editor 1.6" wich can let you put a fish in the recycle bin so visitors can pick it up.
