I tried messing around but could not get this to work, is it possible to edit the text/chat buffer to item cheat to allow it to take the DIY recipes? I know we can make a file to load them all, ect, but it would be nice to be able to spawn a DIY on the fly, I love the ease of the chat buffer to item cheat, really convenient to just type in a id number and spawn it.

Anybody knows why cheats only work on Island owner? When my daughter plays I can’t use cheats. She started later then me so I am the owner. Cheats work with me but not when she is playing.

If you play on same switch you need to find the "Player 2" version of any cheat

By the way @Mopquill , I saw that you took interest in trying to port my Text To Item cheat, I'll break down the anatomy of the code, so that you can give it a go next time or if you'd like to modify the cheat code to your liking.

Blue is the keypresses. The code will read and convert on keypress X, and will write to the offset on DPad Left or Right.
Red is the pointer to the text that we're reading from. On version 1.2, it should be [[main + 3779848] + 478] for the chat, and [main + 3779848] + 40 for the buffer. However, you can always modify it to change the region its reading from like from a letter or the bulletin board or something, as the text should be loaded into memory in utf16 pretty much everywhere.
Green is the code that converts the array of utf16 characters into a hex code. I really won't go into much effort explaining this as you really don't want to be touching this. It should allow up to 8 characters in chat for a 32 bit write.
Orange is the offset to the inventory, which is obviously [heap] + AC4723D0
That's another important offset, as you could theoretically change that offset to create any dynamic cheat that you wanted. A cheat to change your outfit could be made, changing basically any ID you want in the game.

I plan to create a Real Time World Edit cheat.... kind of like this one

Basically, you put in the item ID and press a hotkey and it'll send the item ID directly under you!
This cheat shouldn't be too hard to recreate, I believe recreating it should be pretty easy.

Hi, I tried to tweak the orange text to enable the cheat to spawn DIY recipes, but failed miserably, is it even possible? On the chat buffer to slot 1 would be perfect!

*EDIT* Never mind, found post #3774 that explains it, I can spawn a blank DIY card then modify it, sweet and thank you both

Is there anything to make the game "faster"? Since when I updated the game to 1.2.0 it became really slow, It took up to 3 minutes to load the initial screen.

"CLOTHING AND CATCHPHRASE FIX:After talking to Isabelle and complaining about the way the villager's dresses and the way they talk, it makes them change back to what they meant to be (checked with amibo pedia)."

If replacing a villager who only ever had their default catchphrases (i.e. Sandy's "speedy" catchphrase), would the new villager you put in (i.e. Beardo) have the prior villager's default catchphrase (making Beardo say "speedy"), or his own (i.e. "whiskers")?

Hi all. First and foremost I do not take any credit in any codes on my file. I just compiled every "working" code and pretty much has every code imaginable for this game. My code file is the most complete cause I personally got tired of not having a simple one source file. Hope this helps others out there. Only use 4 codes at 1 time if you overload the game it will corrupt your save this happened to me. So I only use 4-6 static codes at 1 time or 4 conditional codes at one time. This is for Animal Crossing Version 1.20.

Can @DesuIsSparta update the sticky'ed cheat file with the one I posted?
What are your sources for this?
Did you go through the thread, or get them from elsewhere?
How did you determine a code to be working?
What were your criteria for deciding whether a code should be in the file or not? Many codes need to be "configured", such as item codes, though you can have packs for say, fossils, etc. It wouldn't make sense to include them either pre-configured, or in tons of states.
There's no limit on number of codes active at a time, but the file is limited to 1024 code bytes; do you know how many are in the file?

I'm one of the people who can edit the post (and the primary person maintaining it right now), but it seems irresponsible to change the cheats.txt to one with unknown sources posted by a new member with three posts, which hasn't been reviewed, and which by that user's own admission corrupted their save. Answer those questions, and I'll try to get to it eventually, but that is a chunk of work. I would also accept someone who has proven themselves competent to vouch for it.

It will default to the current villager's attributes.

Great thanks for this! Quick question though, will there be a seperate BCAT file for version 1.2.0b? Also, do we put this folder into the "Directories" folder the same way we did with the Bunny Day event? (without overriding the bunny day folder I assume)?
Instructions are in the zip file, just backup your save & BCAT (if corruption occurs you're safe), and just restore that BCAT included and you're good to go ;)

I was playing 1.2.0 version of Animal Crossing in 9.2 firmware. Do we know already if we need to update firmware to use the new BCAT for May Day event?
