no, what taz said can help you out, but thats not at all related to this pack.
I'll always be up for helping, but I'd like this thread to continue (as it has for a long time) to focus mainly on questions about my pack.
the more other junk is in here, the less and less likely it becomes that people will TRY at all to find their answer,
so....in the future, use the search function, and/or go to the essential thread of guides (stickied),
and as always, I'm glad taz was up for helping you, and I'm glad you are pleased with the pack.

Greets...Quick stuff... The 3.3 update in djtaz files does not actually update your version level just gives you some of the 3.3 enhancements etc..... Your firmware level will not change.... lata

This method (wad method) does not downgrade to 3.2 and does not let me install starfall... Is there any way to substitute strafall to protect from upgrading and from brick (better than keeping internet off or running all backup isos through brickblocker...)? Can anybody make starfall to work on 3.4?

this pack will overwrite basically all other launcher installs (but not sd files obviously) so it can be done at any time/step on any system setup

I now have all the parts I wanted for v4 and it is nicer than I thought, so expect full 002 support

No one should need to ask for files, read the whole Nfo even the very end for help

Let me answer it.
One would downgrade due to the starfall brick protection/rescue feature.
It would make sense then first downgrade and then install all of those wads...

I'm realy new in this "cIOS/Backup-Launcher"-Thing, since I have a Modchip...but my friend wants his Wii Softmodded, and I think I will do that for him...

First: I love that you simply have to install WADs, no need for cIOS-Installers, etc...this is GREAT!

Now, If I understood right, these Things would be needed:

-cIOS36 rev 07 from Waninkoko, installed as IOS249
-IOS37 from Arm the Homeless, installed as IOS232 ---> Rockband
-SoftChip ---> Main Loader
-Gamma 0.3 ---> Only for Rebooter (Sam&Max and co.)
-WAD-Manager ---> Install

Is this right?If yes, it would be great if the bold ones would be in the Package in a .wad...(if they aren't now..)

Softchip/gamma is a matter of preference as the use the same backend and have the same compatibility. As for the wad's being included Don't count on it as we can't share IOS's on the board only installers as they dont have copyrighted code in them. Also you will want to downgrade/upgrade his wii to 3.2 and install starfall with the update skip enabled to save yourself future headaches/brick issues with retail games.

Already done! Starfall IS a must have, like HomebrewChannel

I hope to grant wishes I guess in the next couple hours, as I am literally putting v4 together as I type this....so wish me luck, as I thoroughly test it first.

you dont NEED anything with the pack, as that is the point, it has everything you need already.
(you also don't need an internet connection with it)
I always test it so even downgrading and starfall are overkill, but starfall certainly is awesome.

I hope also that you will be able to find the pack, while I cant link to it here, the nfo is available and will be updated asap, and it has lots of info so make sure you read even all the way down to the end.

initial post updated (FINALLY) with Version 4.0 of The Backup Suite

"TBS4" is a final release, as we have now reached 99% compatibility,
and so I feel every launcher from here on out, that should just be expected.

SO MUCH THANKS to all the great authors who have done a ton of work
and whose creations have made this pack possible

pack is fully tested, but if you want to downgrade and starfall, nothing wrong with that.

but you say "NO hbc or installer programs needed at all!!!!"

so how do you install the wad manager?
you still need zelda right?
i softmoded mine with BL 0.1 since then just upgraded

I define "install" to mean to the actual wii's NAND. Wad manager just runs from your sd card, it isn't "installed" unless you install a channel for it. I also meant, no cIOS installers etc, obviously you are installing stuff, youre just using wads as packages, instead of installers themselves.

all you do is:
familiarize yourself with TP-hack
unzip the contents of this pack onto your sd card
run tp-hack (wad manager will boot)
install the wads
presto done.
