I've heard from a mod on on another site that Normmatt has updated AKAIO to fix the AP in KH: 358/2
and that AKAIO is not dead, but the title just never got changed back after April fools. I was wondering
if there any truth to this and if it is when this may be released?

So does it work on the Acekard 2i?

Not yet. Doesn't work with either official or AKAIO right now. Normmatt has made an update to AKAIO, latest build fixes Kingdom Hearts

This was quoted from KH: 358/2 Days AP thread It can be found towards the bottom of the first page.

When I asked him about this, I got the following as a reply in a PM:
QUOTE
That title for Normmatt was set at April 1st for the Joke. It hasn't been changed since, AKAIO is still being worked on.

umm..

akaio is still being worked on. normatt has been doing an incredible job.

april fools joke was exactly that - a joke

KH has been patched and is working for most cartridges already i believe.

I was hoping to be able to play it without using a patch.

I remember the bit with the whole GTA AP and how saves were not compatible and after updating, people could not use the patched ROM. I kinda would prefer to avoid that whole issue this time. It would be nice to not spend time playing the game just to have to replay an unknown chunk again.

Edit: My initial statement for statement mentioning AKAIO being dead was in rearguards to this thread.

Hello you can get the rom to run without the lastest loaders all you have to do is use the ips patch (update to the newest loaders anyway it saves more time) id still patch it just to be safe
