you're willing to learn, so that's a plus in my book.
too many people just want things done for them, and end up asking for help over and over.

quote(m3rox @ oct 16 2010, 05:21 pm) they are used to separate words, otherwise characters run into each other and it's difficult to understand what is being written.
awesome and well cited rebuttal.
they do not use spaces to separate words or characters, i even linked you examples of newspaper which does not use spaces to separate words.

here's an example: http://www.usay.jp/daybase.php
yasu's blog/diary. no spaces between words or sentences (end with "?")

here's another example: http://homepage3.nifty.com/miyoshino/es/es3topj.htm
it is the japanese site for a diablo ii mod called eastern sun which (was) maintained by a person named "tsuru" who is from japan.

but hey! i'm sure you are right and the people who live in japan are wrong.

does anyone have a problem with dragon quest v: the hand of the heavenly bride? i'm getting an intro loop.
(u) version works fine for me.

do you have the ap bypass on globally (i do not)?

things seem a bit buggy to me... custom themes and other system settings reset if i exit out of a game, and sometimes i'll get a white screen. super scribblenauts gets an intro loop or stuck on a white screen with ap enabled....

for superscibblenauts you need fat16.
i guess that's my problem? i have fat32.

i tried with ap bypass on and off. i guess i'll get a different dump. working perfectly before though. ah well.

so if you don't have a 4gb or under micro sd card you can't play.

my micro sd is 8gb, and fat32. it works perfectly normal on super scribblenauts.
anyways, i have a question. what exactly is that bypass anti piracy option for? i know what it does, but is it supposed to be like supercard dstwo and pass anti piracy before a patch is even made?

i don't think the ak can do that. isn't that feature powered by that extra processor in the dstwo? i could be completely wrong though.

folder deletion, cheat update fixed, additional ap removal (i sent a pm asking for clarification to i can give a correct explanation to people), intro removal, and 43 games fixed.

akaio does not disappoint.

edit:
normmatt said:
its an attempt at software emulating reads below 8000h which is used to detect flashcarts.
rydian said:
is this an experimental feature for now, or does it disable other patches and that's why it can be toggled in the main menu?
normmatt said:
no it very much works its just it breaks single card download play in games. which is why it isn't enabled by default. it also hasn't been tested on extremely slow sd cards which some people seem to have and it apparently isnt working.
normmatt
it will solve the standard read below 8000h checks that are coming out recently, but games like prince of persia use a different type of anti piracy that isn't so easy to get around.

kind of weird that this newest akaio affected so many people and so many games that were working perfectly fine before.

my acekard bought off of shoptemp with the 2gb stick included, i've had no problem running any of my older games. i could try all of them, but it would take a while...

all my old games still work do you have the aap enabled in system options because it can cause
some games not to work thats why it should be enabled on the games that need it like super
scribblenauts

okay i've got super scribblenaughts running fine now, but i'm still having problems with lufia curse of the sinistrals. i got past the initial black screen and played the game through a bit and after a save point, the screen just went black again and it didn't load anything else. i'm running the aap on it already, is there some other fix that i'm missing or what?

have you tried it without the ap bypass on?
you should leave it disabled globally and then turn it on per-game under that games settings as needed.

i haven't tested it, but i seem to recall someone saying that lufia worked normally in akaio 1.8.0.

i just tried lufia curse of the sinistrals it works with or without the aap for me got all the way
untill the second time you get to save and all worked fine
