Hacking AKAIO 1.5 Released

I doubt that's a bug as it has been widely acknowledged.

They're already up unless you're talking about a third update of the loaders.

It is a known issue. It is already in the suggestion list:

AKAIO has absolutely nothing to do with 1.4. You need to run the 1.4 fix before updating your DSi system to 1.4.

If you update your DSi to 1.4 without first patching your Acekard 2i bootloader, it will not boot at all.

Your Acekard 2i won't work. Just update it with the 1.4 fix before upgrading to 1.4.

Press "R+Y" while in AKAIO. quicktoggle of .SAV file appearing.

made that one for me, never really publicized it. been in akaio for uhh...................................................... 9 months+?
i was playing a game and was backing up my save constantly.

greetings everyone,

i have an issue to report here.
apologies if i posted in the wrong thread.

one:
- nintendo ds lite crimson red (usa)
- genuine acekard 2 (the first generation version 2, not the 2.1)
- ezlite flash 3 in 1 expansion pack
- genuine kingston 4gb microsd
- akaio 1.5 firmware


two:
ok, basically my acekard and ndsl works fine (for 2.2 years).. until i started using akaio.
after my second boot with akaio, i can't load the games (nds roms) anymore.

all i get are black or white screens after the 'loading' screen.

i followed the instructions closely, clean installation, downloaded new loaders and all (used the panasonic sd formatter too).


three:
tried changing the card to a (genuine) kingston 8gb microsd, formated with panasonic sd software.
clean install again, using fresh roms, still same results.

even tried removing the ezflash 3 in 1 card, clean install once again and loaded directly from the acekard,
still no effect.

reformated again and back to the original acekard 2 firmware.
..and ended up as another useless attempt. =(


four:
the only .nds file i could load is moonshell 2.05..
moonshell worked perfectly fine, loading mp3s or opening image files.

just that i can't load any commercial roms anymore.

in case you wanna know, the last game i booted was sega all star tennis (usa), with default settings (rumble pack off, no cheats etc).


don't get me wrong, i really feel that akaio is a fantastic and very solid firmware compared to the original.
i sincerely appreciate all the hard work that developers put into this release..

but as of now, i just wanna get my nds working back. =/

any form of help is much appreciated.. i'm totally out of ideas.
(am getting the new acekard 2i if everything else fails)

i finally got my acekard 2 to work!

i realized i did something really stupid.
i had the all other loaders inside the aio/loaders folder.. meaning all three of ak+,ak2 and akrpg loaders together.
was my fault, i didn't notice it in the first place.

so what i did was:
1. cleared the aio/loaders folder,
2. re-downloaded the latest ak2loader (yep, made sure there's only one!)

but my nds still had not worked.. until i experimented with step 3:
3. downloaded the wifi plugin, ran it and updated the savelist.bin

my nds now is back from the dead! works like magic!!

yep, tried a legitimate mario kart. it works.
didn't have the chance to try my acekard on another ds tho..

but yeah, got it back to work thanks to the wifi plugin (read above).

As far as I know this file is only required for Acekard RPG ... so If that fixed it for you, you didn't have Acekard 2 in the first place.

As far as I know this file is only required for Acekard RPG ... so If that fixed it for you, you didn't have Acekard 2 in the first place.

savelist.bin is used on ak2 and it corrupts easily still
