Ok, so to make sure I understand this,
There is the Quicksave DMA mode which is a newer DMA mode with new fixes.
For games that can't be loaded in the Quicksave DMA mode, it will load in the old DMA mode
And for games that can't be loaded with the old DMA mode, it will load with DMA mode turned off

Is this correct?
 
the old dma and quicksave dma do the same patching. the quicksave just does saves differently. at times this causes problems. for all reported games, which work in the old dma mode, norm just hardcoded akaio to load in that mode. if you still experience issues you can turn off dma, but this is not advised. akaio has 99% compatibility. you really should not have issues and if you do there is usually an easy way to get the rom working without crazy patching, hacking, hexing.

Will it freeze the loader if I put this wifi on the plugin file?
Do you think it's better if I stayed on my previous wifi?
