AK-AIO 1.3
+ Added Some of Gelu's patches:
- Faster Directory Listing.
- New List mode - Internal nds names.
- Lots of Soft Reset Fixes for the AKRPG.
- new DMA mode and BBDX save fix for the AKRPG.
- font system (fully supports unicode now
biggrin.gif
).
- New FIFO IPC System (Behind the scenes stuff).
- Massive amount of soft reset fixes mainly for the AKRPG.
- Some game fixes (Brain Age 2 (K), Chrono Trigger).
NOTE: because of new font system, language files now need to be utf8. Some have been converted such as English and Japanese but others will need to be saved as utf8 to work properly.
+ Added a few game related fixes.
+ Japanese games now show Japanese characters in rom info window when language isnt set to Japanese (causes a sec or so lag when opening rom info window).
+ Files are now sorted alphabetically (Forced at the moment, sorry).
+ Loaders are now external and can be updated separately to the GUI.
+ Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum can now read saves for R/S/E/FR/LG from ewin and 3in1 (AK2 Only for now).
+ Cheat engine fixes, namely backlight codes now fully work (AK2 only for now).
+ Optimizations all round (Shouldn't have any lag in GUI anymore).
+ Italian language added.
+ New 3in1 options window.
+ Show gba internal name in Internal view mode.
+ 3in1 internal GBA rom header stuff and work on Save/Load prompts in 3in1 options window.
- Enable/Disable saving 3in1 SRAM on startup (Enabled by default)
- Enable/Disable prompting before saving/loading SAVSRAM
- Enable/Disable the Universal Sleep Hack for GBA games
- Thanks to all donators!

Downloading now, although I still need to buy a darn 3-in-1 so I can finally find a reason to dump my M3 GBA expansion and get with the winning team.

I just tested it out and it's way faster for browsing through folders/loading games.

Great update , but I want to ask some question about the new beta:

1.In this beta only english is currently supported in the cheat menu ?
the asian font can't display in the cheat menu...

2.globasettings.ini is read only ?
If I change filelist style and language to T.chinese
When I soft-reset or repower , it always get back to english
So I check the globalsettings.ini , it had no save to my change...

3.DMA mode is RPG only ?
Maybe someday , we can use it in AK2

1. At the moment there is no way to support anything other than standard ascii, the main reason is that we use utf8 now, and the r4.dat format doesn't support utf8 from what i can tell, but xml does so you could try using xml and seeing if that works, but it probably won't.

2. It shouldn't be read-only.

3. I see no reason why i should have to recode DMA mode when acekard have already done so, but won't provide me with the latest sources.

Thank you AKAIO team you did a great job
I really liked that you added launching GBA games from the AK menu, i also like the border around the game when launched.

BUG: well i noticed a bug with the Adv.EvoR skin, the top half of the skin is all fuzz. I have an 8 GB micorsdhc if it matters.

4.I put the poweroff icon to the __aio folder , but when I click the icon on the help window
It has no work ....

I just did a quick test and here's a few things i noticed on the RPG:

1. Can't select/disable DMA mode for an individual game.
2. Castlevania DOS/OoE gives a white screen on loading from NAND.
3. Loading DoS from microSD works and video playback is smooth but will hang on the ending white screen.
4. The faster directory list works really fast!

1. As I said it was a long shot, but i will look into it sometime.
2. I just noticed that myself I'll look into that soon.
3. It freezes or lags for a second or so?
4. I just fixed that now, also added the power off image to svn so it should work fine in the final.

1. DMA mode is on by default, there are no known issues with it.
2. For some reason not many things like running from the NAND (No idea why).
3. It will hang where and does it hang on gelu's firmware?
4. Yes its much nicer, or are you implying it's too fast now if so you can change the scroll speed to slow which slows it down a little.

That bug has now been fixed.

DoS hangs at the point where the intro video ends. I get the same problem with gelu's also. That's why I would have preferred the option of turning dma on/off. It wasn't a problem with gelu's because I could play the game on the NAND, but now ..

Sorry for my bad english

The xml cheat button thing isn't a bug, xml parsing is tooo slow to and would cause major lag when opening rominfo which is why it was left out.

It's usual for rominfo to have a second or so lag when opening japanese roms.

I'm not having any luck tracking down why some games aren't working on the nand :S

Is this based on the newest Acekard 4.12 source code or is it still branched from an earlier version (4.07)?

So far I have encounter some problems with some of the skin.

1) Adv.EvoR skin
The picture in the top screen is distorted.

2) SOLA NO KISEKI NO.4 skin (http://www.acekard.com/down_skin.php?id=35)
The whole AKAIO program will hang at loading the directory/file listing (None of the game title is display at the file listing). The bottom touch screen is no longer functioning. It will hang at the same place even I restart my DS.

1. Already reported and fixed.
2. That theme is fundamentally broken, not fault of AKAIO.
