Hacking AK2i DSi firmware

Hi, up until now i bought a AK2i for my little brother to use on his DS Lite, I use a cyclops on my DS Lite so i have very limited knowledge of use of the AK2i on the DSi. For Christmas my mum is getting my little brother a DSi, could someone tell me all the instructions from scratch on how to install all the latest firmware on the AK2i so it will run flawlessly on his soon to be DSi
