Hacking AK Team declare AK2.1 more stable

Just returned one last week due to FAT error. Bought it back in July. Still need to keep an eye on these for issues.

My first AK2 lasted about 2 weeks before the dreaded "FAT ERROR" and was replaced under warranty.
The replacement has been fine for the last 3 months then yesterday we got the dreaded "01010101" error when loading a game, and our DS gets used a lot, if we didn't use our DS as much, the problem may not have surfaced for several months.

To ask, anyone that read this has one of these AceKard 2.1 with green pcb? Because one friend from a brazilian forum received one of them and it died =(
I am already afraid that the new 2.1 version (with black pcb) may suffer the same issues, OzModChips does the acekard team claim that this revision won't suffer anymore with this errors?

And I can ask you by PM about your prices and everything else?

actually, I bought mine last month and have been playing it a lot. It just now decided to provide me with an FAT error today.

I bought it from kickgaming so i think i should contact them first, i dont think i should try to get a replacement ak2, but an EDGE. the problem is still out there, or maybe i was just given an old card. any ideas guys? i realy dont know what i should do.

Your unit has a 2.1 sticker on the flashcard? If not, it's one from old ones that may be from a bad batch.
The best action is to try to change the flashcard if you are given the chance, if they don't offer a chance to exchange cards, only take a new AK2 if they have 2.1 stickers on them and if possible, black PCB.

Just thought i would throw my bit in here..

I have bought 40 of these in total (Acekard) so far i have had 11 returned, with various problems,
either Locking the NDS load screen/continuous loading problem,not loading at all and a new one yesterday... just numbers scrolling down the screen, i have also had the FAT error problem as well, DX were very good in replacing the 1st 5 i returned, these got replaced with the ver 2.1 ones... not great, i have 6 more for returns , and i expect more back!!

Can you clarify -- you said that you bought 40 "of these." Which ones are you referring to? Since you said that DX replaced them with version 2.1 ones, can we assume that the "these" you're referring to were not the 2.1 versions?

Implying they weren't 2.1 to start with.. so verifying what we already know - the old ones get errors...

If the new ones get errors then it takes a long time >1 month to appear - as none have been reported faulty as of yet.

Contact kickgaming and let them know of your problem - they are generally awesome about helping with defective products.

They have only replaced 4 so far with v2.1 on them, these have not failed yet ,the others (pre 2.1) seem to be failing after 2 - 8 weeks use, all have a different problems

FAT ERROR
load FREEZ ERROR
freezing NDS intro screen
not been recognised by the ds
Corrupting the Mem cards
Loading to white screen
Or loading just to a bunch of numbers!!

the green pcb 2.1 has been fixed. the black pcb 2.1 has been redesigned so the error can't happen. you will be fine with either one, but the green is not the new redesign.

This bad batch problem has really made me lose respect in the AK team. People can't be safe and rely on them for purchasing a safe and effective product. This is ridiculous, the first thing a company should do is make sure their product works before selling it.
