I'm getting some super obtrusive ads on mobile. As far as I'm aware every patreon (even the two dollar backers) was given ad free experience since they were all grouped together, right? I'm wondering if that's an error, or it was finally amended. If it's finally been separated by patreon tier that's fine, I just want to know so I can ante up my monthly donation and get rid of the ads.

EDIT: asking around, looks like some 10$ backers are having ads too?

Double edit: it's only for mobile it seems...?

I'm a $10 backer, and I get ads now. I presume this is an error of some sort.
EDIT: Looks like it's a mobile issue. Desktop is ad free.

I don't have any ads at all on mobile

Using latest Chrome and Android 7.0.

EDIT: Same with Dolphin browser, no ads there either.

What browser are you using on your phone?

Try to clear the cache to see if that helps.

Seems fixed now. Was using Safari and Chrome on iOS 10.

$2 backers should still get ads definitely. But as a staff you may have special privileges.

as for yesterday's issue I was tweaking with the code, must have made a temporary mistake, but fixed it I guess.

to be clear, only $5+ backers should be able to browse the site ad-free (as per the patreon plans)
if you are a $5+ backer and still see ads, please let me know, shouldn't be happening.

I suspect that the problem is only happening on mobile, I can't check right now though.
if you use your mobile device and get ads, can you tell me which of these ads you get:
1) fixed ad at the bottom of the page
2) full page ad that shows when you click a link from the portal
3) banners in threads - below the first post / after the last post in a thread

Reviving this thread because I am getting ad banners in between posts on desktop, Firefox Dev Edition. Maybe a flag wasn't set for me?

Note that only $5+ backers get ad free, so if you donated less than that then you will still see ads.

If you donated $5+, then there may be an issue
