Hacking Acekard2i not working on dsi

well as you may have previously read at the top I've been using a dsl until I got my dsi. if you only have a dsi(s) then find someone with a ds or dsl because only those can update it if you can't reach acekard on your dsi. if you followed the tutorial at the top of the forum there was a point where you could get a something which was optional [url=http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LFK8DOZB]http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LFK8DOZB[/url] which is the new update. download this and put it on your acekard. put the acekard in the dsl or ds and run acekard. now that you are in the acekard menu locate the update. click on the update. then it should bring you to a blue screen saying that you could either press start or any other button to go back to acekard. press start on your ds or dsl. Once the update is done it will say to reboot (update takes like 1 minute). take out acekard and put it in dsi. it should work fine now that the firmware has been updated. also if for some reason when you start it up and it says Danny Phantom Urban Jungle THQ for the icon instead of the normal acekard icon tell me. If you have any problems along the way tell me!

The Danny Phantom icon is how they got past the blocking of flashcarts in 1.4. Some other carts use other icons, I think there's a Fish Tycoon one and a Star Wars one as well. I think 1.4 started making sure that it was a commercial cart in the slot before running, not completely sure.

Actually thanks REALLY very much for this thread as i have now been able to use a 16Gb micro SD card in an Acekard in a DSi XL

Just to clarify some confusion, i used that latest firmware from the Acekard site - thats 1.5,

Also i had to run the update (reflash?) given in the link in this thread, using the OLD DSLite ( i always had "an error has occured" with the XL attempts)

Also its important to note that if you do use a 16Gb card which can hold many many games and which the Acekard can scroll through superfast, then you need to divide your games into 3 folders each less than 8Gb (say 5 or 6 max)........i think this is a FAT32 problem where the OS treats the folder as a file and doesnt like large files of 5 or 6 Gb or more. If you dont do this step you will find no games are accessible at all.

my acekard 2i in not working anymore on my dsi 1.4... just to clarify that i've already update the card for the 1.4 fix and already reformat my memory card... also done the paper trick and clean the slot ... but my dsi can't see the card...is my card bricked????

I have the same problem as you, my Acekard works sometimes, but not others. I'd say about 1 in 15 times it works.

I'm getting towards the point where i might just buy a new Acekard.

EDIT: Found a fix. Just put two strips of sellotape on the sticker side of the acekard right at the bottom. This will push the contacts that little bit closer
